The concept of hotels is very old. Even Joseph and Mary went to stay at the Inn that was full, before Jesus was born in the stable. In German history an entire clan would share the same building, and actually sleep together with their animals all under one roof. The 3D model hotel on this page is not that old, but you can still tell some amazing 3D stories with them, probably stories with gangsters and modern travellers.
The word “hospitality” which is the root of hotel, comes from the Latin root meaning “host” or “hospice.” Thus the first true hotels were those where the hospitality was so great that private homes were opened to the public. Interesting is that even back then people had taste, and these private open houses were not on any ones “A” list for taking a holiday. So under the power of the Roman Empire, and since Roman practically did everything first, inns and hotels began catering to the pleasure traveler in an effort to encourage visitors, leading to the worlds first tourist industry.
“What amazing 3D travellers will you put into your 3D model hotel, to create your 3D masterwork?”
3D hotel models like this one are incredibly unique. I love this concept. The Dead Water Hotel has lots of character, but would you really want to stay there? Only with a loaded gun, right? This model has a roof you can raise, removable side and morphing curtains will give you the views you need. This hotel would be great for dystopia renders and stories: the badlands hotel?
